Over the last several years I have developed a passion for relieving chronic pain and improving the quality of life of the pets that I treat. So much so that I have built a practice with this special focus.
I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2008 and was fortunate to spend the first 10 years of my career working both in private practice and the veterinary pharmaceutical industry, where my interest in chronic pain and rehabilitation therapy began. Through my own experiences with chronic pain that were unresolved with conventional treatments, I eventually sought out an amazing practitioner who treated me with an integrative approach that sent me on my way to recovery. And with that, I started down this path of approaching the treatment of pain and mobility disorders with an integrative approach in pet patients of all ages, as a certified veterinary medical acupuncturist (cVMA), certified canine rehabilitation practitioner (CCRP) and certified veterinary pain practitioner (CVPP).
I truly believe that there is no substitute for conventional medicine. But I also believe that there are many situations where we have exhausted our traditional options and still want to do more for our pets. This is where an integrative approach to treatment (combining both conventional and complementary therapies) can provide a better outcome with the ultimate goal of increasing mobility, decreasing pain and allowing your pet to live their best possible life.
